Upholstery Cleaning

It is true that our furniture is an important part of our lives but one that often goes unnoticed. Think about how often you sit on your sofa. It is natural that it won’t be as clean as it was when you first got it — and that’s okay. But a good vacuum is not enough to do a thorough, deep-clean. Once Master’s Touch Steam Cleaning has thoroughly cleaned a piece of your furniture, you’ll certainly notice the difference. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself feeling a lot more comfortable and cozy using your furniture — that’s the power of a quality clean done with the industry’s best equipment. We understand that there is a wide variety of furniture types and designs. Our technicians are equipped with a collection of professional tools for the job and have received hands-on training to be able to understand the best tricks and techniques to provide the best possible results for your cleaning project.

Our Upholstery Cleaning Process

Step 1 - Pre-Inspection

Before beginning the cleaning process, our technician will take the time to inspect the job. This is a good time to talk to them about any concerns you might have. They can then tell you what results you can expect.

Step 2 - Commercial Dry Vacuum

Using our powerful vacuum equipment, our technician will remove all dust and other dry particles. This will eliminate dirt and get optimum performance from the steam cleaning process to come.

Step 3 - Protect Floors & Work Areas

It’s important for us to leave every place we enter, better than we arrived. We take care of your property while we clean. To achieve this we place any upholstered furniture being cleaned on heavy-duty blankets.

Step 4 - Pre-Spot

If there are any spots or marks that may require special attention, our technician will treat them first with a loosening agent. This will boost the cleaning power of the shampoo and steaming steps.

Step 5 - Pre-Spray Shampoo

Our specially formulated shampoo will then be applied to the upholstery. This will work to free up both dirt and organic matter from the fibers.

Step 6 - Brush Agitation

Having the right tools for the job makes all the difference. Our agitator will gently work the fibers just enough to draw the shampoo in deep. It will also work with the shampoo to free and lift particles away from tight spots in the weave of fibers.

Step 7 - Shampoo Rinse Aid

Getting all of the shampoo residue back out is important. Doing this makes the fabric dry more easily, feel softer, and stops it from being tacky or attracting dirt. By applying a rinse aid at this stage, we ensure all of the shampoo will be easily removed.

Step 8 - Hot Steam Extraction

Just like it does for carpets, the hot steam we use gets deep into the fibers and flushes out the grime. Our powerful truck-mounted equipment delivers this steam at the most effective temperature. And the heavy-duty suction pulls out all of the grime as well as the moisture.

Step 9 - Post-Spot or Stain Inspection

After the steam has extracted all of the dirt and grime that it could, our technician will inspect the upholstery with care. If they find any marks or stains that have been stubborn enough to remain, they will focus their skills on the task of removing them.

Step 10 - Pillow Steam Cleaning

We know you won’t be comfortable unless your pillows for your furniture are just as clean as the furniture itself. That is why we include pillow cleaning in the upfront costs. Your pillows will be cleaned with the same effective techniques as your upholstery.

Step 11 - Remove Over-Spray Protection

Now that there is no further chance of overspray coming in contact with your flooring or other surfaces, we remove the protective blanket placed earlier. Our technician will also inspect the area. They will always clean up anything that may need attention as a result of their efforts.

Step 12 - Speed Dry

Once the upholstery is clean and fresh, we’ll use a high-velocity fan to dry out any excess moisture quickly. A fast dry is important to retaining freshness. And it gets you back to using your furniture again quickly.

Step 13 - Odor Control Treatment

The causes of odors can be complex. But we know that most odors are from organic compounds. Instead of masking them with perfume, Master’s Touch Steam Cleaning has a unique solution that breaks down the odor at the source. Our scientific formulation uses enzymes to break down the cause of the odor and continues to work long after we’ve finished.

Step 14 - Post Inspection

Once your upholstery has been brought back to peak condition, our technician will take time to lift pillows and point out how any difficult areas were addressed. This is a good time to talk to them about upholstery care and what protective treatment options are available.

Your satisfaction is our top priority. If you are not satisfied with the service provided, we will gladly return and clean those areas for no cost within 30 days.
